Where Can You Get Precription Circle Lenses
Big Eye Contact Lens Prescriptions and Opticians
Right now most circle lenses are available in non-prescription styles, and since these are so new they don't necessarily come in the toric and standard prescription varieties that you can get with standard contacts. Even with prescription circle lenses, most manufacturers recommend taking them out after 8 hours because they may block the oxygen to your eye. You can read some circle lens FAQs on this site.
Whether you are looking to get prescription or non-prescription circle lenses, you should also take serious consideration of the potential risks to your eyesight since circle lenses have a larger diameter, require you to open your eyes wider to insert, and are not as easy to take out. All of these factors can contribute to corneal abrasion, infections, and other problems that seem to be more common with circle contacts than standard contacts. Many people with good eyesight choose to wear circle lenses for cosmetic reasons, or as part of a costume, but should still comply with all local laws for buying contacts. In the US, the FDA has not approved circle lenses so you may not be able to get a prescription for them. You also cannot get contact lenses with an eyeglass prescription, since there are special checks that an optomotrist has to perform before prescribing circle contacts.
Notes and Special Information
Special note: Not all circle lenses are available in prescription sizes since many are purely cosmetic. Non-prescription contacts cannot legally be sold in many states and countries, so make sure you are in compliance with local laws.
